Our Titanium Solstice is now available in a unique anodized finish that takes this already incredible knife to another level. Custom finished in small quantities using an "entropic" anodizing style, the complex, random patterns and striking coloration evoke the look of lightning or nebulas. Each knife is a unique work of art, ideal for collectors or anyone who wants something truly special for their everyday carry.

S35VN Steel

Crucible Particle Metal (CPM) S35VN is a USA made, high-end stainless steel that provides an excellent balance between toughness, corrosion resistance, and edge-retention. It is recognized as a premium steel due to its durability and remarkable wear resistance. Our knives with S35VN steel have a Rockwell Hardness of 60-61.

Anodized Titanium Handle

The Titanium handle scales are custom anodized for a one-of-a kind look. Titanium is ideal for high-end, high-performance knives because it is both lightweight and has a high strength-to-density ratio. Anodized using an "entropic" style, which combines the use of heat and ferric acid to create a randomly patterned oxide layer on the surface of titanium.

What Is Entropic Anodizing?

The anodizing process combines the use of heat and ferric acid to create a randomly patterned oxide layer on the surface of titanium. The resulting finish is sometimes called "entropic anodizing" in reference to entropy, the state of randomness and disorder of matter.

A strong, durable finish

The oxide layer formed during the anodizing process is extremely durable and won't wear off. If you find your scales dull after prolonged use, a quick wipe with Windex brings the finish back to it's original luster.

No Two Are Alike

The anodization process results in random patterns and a range of color hues from blue to deep purple. The pattern and color on each knife varies due to the nature of the process.

Michael, we're sorry to hear your Anodized Solstice isn't what you expected. The anodizing process results in a range of colors from light blue to purple and each knife is different. We're happy to offer you another option if you'd like to replace your knife.

Very happy with this knife. Have a couple of CRKT CEO’s and was happy with their function and utility. Yours is much easier and smoother to deploy. Love the anodized Titanium scales. Would consider the purchase of another if/when a Damascus blade is added. Let me know. Thanks.

Fancy Lad EDC Toy

The knife is a reliable EDC for domestic indoor tasks, like cutting envelopes, tape, and the occasional box. It could be that it's my anodized handle but the knife looks fantastic, and the deployment action is like a fidget toy because it's so smooth.
