Designed by custom knifemaker and ABS Journeyman Smith Mak Kelsay, the Charter is a slim titanium flipper folder built for refined everyday carry. The 3.25” flat ground drop point blade is made from Böhler M390 - an Austrian super-steel produced via proprietary powder metallurgy, prized for its exceptional edge retention and corrosion resistance.
The handle scales, pivot, thumb stud, and backspacer are all machined from Grade 5 titanium, available in smooth or milled basketweave pattern. Ceramic caged bearings and a flipper or thumb stud opening deliver fast, low-friction deployment. Our signature stainless steel ambidextrous fold-over deep-carry clip keeps carry discreet in any pocket. Manufactured by Reate to their characteristically high standard of fit and finish.
Böhler M390 Steel
Produced by the Böhler-Uddeholm Metallurgical Group in Austria using a proprietary 3rd generation Microclean powder technology, M390 is a widely revered "super-steel" due to its extremely high wear resistance and corrosion resistance. M390 is a high-performance steel that stays sharp for extended use, making it ideal for everyday carry knives.
Grade 5 Titanium
The handle scales, pivot, thumb stud, and backspacer are all machined from Grade 5 titanium. Titanium is ideal for high-end, high-performance knives because it is both lightweight and has a high strength-to-density ratio.
Ceramic Caged Bearings
Equipped with premium ceramic caged bearings for silky smooth, lightning fast opening action. Ceramic bearings do not rust, corrode, or react with lubrication.
