My knife collection has grown to include the Solstice and now the Strategy as well!
I was looking for something special, unique and elegant when I found the Ocaso lineup. Then I found out the designer is a local from my hometown, then I discovered they manufacture they’re products in Taiwan which to me is as good as USA standards and practices if not better, debate me if you want.
The Strategy just fits my hand flawlessly, like it was molded for it. It’s got some weight to it but just the right amount. As far as I can tell, nothing was left unthought of when this knife was put together. It’s a beautiful piece and tool. Incredibly sharp and well balanced. If you want an affordable EDC knife that is also a beautiful piece of art, Ocaso is the way.

My first two American names, China built attempts at EDC were disappointments. I increased my budget & research to land on Ocaso. The offered what I was looking for, elegance, quality, & affordability, three virtues one rarely finds packaged in a weapon. The Strategy is sleek yet sturdy, light but substantial, affordable & bouchie.
I also picked up a Blue Damascus Solstice that is exactly what I envisioned a Gentleman's blade should offer. Elegance, ultra light construction, slick operation, & wicked sharp. Not an EDC, but uniquely able to perform tight cuts others can't reach. Their clips are the best for concealment.
Ocaso is now my gold standard that I will judge all future knife purchases against, including their new models. The fact that they don't use China to manufacture was also a big factor. I hope they continue to offer these beautiful knives, I like their style.

I have had my Ocaso Strategy Jade + black for a year now and I love it just as much as when I received it. The quality is top of the line. I just received the 2024 catalog and I want to buy all of them, especially the Damascus Solstice or the new Delos!! I highly recommend anything from Ocaso.
