Solstice - Titanium / Satin Straight Blade

I have looked at many knives with an emphasis on discreet and low profile carry while being slim in the pocket, yet maintaining a high quality standard without being priced too high. The Solstice is one of the few that has met all of these requirements.

The first thing I look for is not the blade or the handle - it's the clip. If the clip isn't deep carry or if it looks like a knife clip, it makes it quite difficult to carry to the office without potentially getting some questions about it. The Solstice clip is deep carry and tucks the entire knife into the pocket. When viewed from the outside, it literally looks like a pen clip.

Once again, I want to emphasize how important the clip is to this class of knife (so-called gentleman's carry knives). I have seen SO many models from other makers where the clip is an afterthought and makes the knife unfit for purpose.

Next, I wanted premium materials and a great action and a slim profile. I also like the cut out where I can access the lock bar without any issue. The larger flipper tab is a nice touch for added safety, without any jimping to scrape at my index finger.

This isn't the only knife in its class, of course, there are several other options on the market, but I really like the combination of its features and I am blown away by the build quality. The factory OEM in Taiwan has stellar workmanship and QC, as expected.

Lastly, it also really helps that Andrew Demko designed it, that's just the icing on the cake for me. Thanks for making a knife that has everything I wanted. This won't be my only Solstice, I'm already planning on getting at least a couple more.
